Job Overview

The Administrative Assistant at DemandLab Europe will be responsible to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in the Budapest office's daily needs and general administrative activities.

Taking direction from the Manager, Training and Advancement, this is a cross-functional role working with various DemandLab departments. The Administrative Assistant position requires strong Hungarian and English language proficiency, both written and oral, organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, a high level of aptitude in planning and anticipating needs, constant communication with multiple team members and other stakeholders, and the ability to swiftly change direction depending on the current needs of the situation.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Administration, Process, and Operations

  • Assist in maintaining relationships and communication with the local payroll and accounting company.
  • Assist with administrative aspects related to the DemandLab Europe Budapest office, i.e. team support in daily administrative duties, organizing and scheduling team events, meeting room booking, coordinating operations, including purchasing, equipment inventory, etc.
  • Assist the North American based HR Generalist on local administrative needs.
  • Assist in creating feedback surveys to guide analysis and decision-making around overall operations, training development, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support new hire applications and onboarding programs from an administrative perspective.
  • Act as candidate meeting facilitator by administering and distributing candidate profiles, scheduling interviews, and documenting and following up on necessary actions and decisions.

Learning and Development Process and Operations

  • Support Training and Advancement projects by:
    • Facilitating and scheduling training sessions and meetings
    • Ensuring training courses and materials adhere to templates
    • Maintaining and monitoring training plans and schedules
    • Administering assessments after the completion of training courses
    • Assist with developing training materials and processes
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the LMS (Learning Management Systems).
  • Provide assistance and training to LMS users as needed.
  • Support the maintenance of DemandLab’s knowledge base.


  • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy and excellent organizational skills, both analytical and problem-solving.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other departments.
  • Ability to document and present work in a clear and concise manner.
  • Must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Requires strong communication skills with a high level of English and Hungarian proficiency, both verbal and written.
  • Instructional experience in a group business setting is considered a plus.
  • Additional course work in either Education or Human Resources field is considered a plus.

Education & Work Experience

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in education, business, marketing or related field.
  • Up to 2 years of related education, human resources or project coordination experience are preferable.
  • Fluent in English and Hungarian

Working Conditions and Environment

  • Standard business hours are Monday - Friday, 9 am - 6 pm local time.
  • Hybrid work model: work can be performed around 50-60% of the time from home, but on-site presence will be required.
  • Living in Budapest, Hungary area required.
  • Some travel may be required.
