It’s Holiday Time: These Are a Few of Our Favorite Things

This time of year always gets us thinking. Have we accomplished everything we wanted to in 2022? What do we want for next year? How can we make that happen? It’s a time to both contemplate and anticipate.

In the spirit of cheer and hope, we asked our team to share their favorite things about the holidays and what they plan to achieve in 2023.

Here’s what they had to say:

What’s your favorite thing about this time of year?

“In general, people are more kind. We tend to focus on the negative interactions of busy stores or overcrowded airports. Still, when you look at the individual interactions— pleasantries exchanged between strangers, charitable acts—there is a lot of kindness during this time of year.”
—Kimberly Yanni, Manager, Project Services

“The sense of refreshment that comes with the new year.”
— Ian Brant, Backend Javascript & DevOps Developer

“I can spend time with family and friends and relax, eat, and eat. I’m not a big cooking person, but I’m willing to experiment with new food ideas this time of the year.”
—Orsolya Szendrei, Marketing Automation Specialist

“I love the annual business planning cycle that typically happens at the end of each year. Absorbing the energy of the creative ideas brought forward and blending that energy with the constraints of time and resources are exciting puzzle pieces to fit together. Yet they bring great clarity to what we can accomplish as a cohesive team.”
—Richard Hall, Manager, Operations

“Putting up the tree, snuggling up in a blanket, and watching both good and bad holiday movies.”
—Zana Green, Project Coordinator

“The gathering of family members, the snow (when it does snow), store decorations, and the displays you see driving up and down the streets.”
—Christian Roberts, Business Solutions Consultant

“Aside from the cold weather and the ability to sit by the fire, it’s just the overall feeling that comes with the holidays! Everything is a celebration, accompanied by festive music, and the hustle of the year finally slows down. It allows us to reset and ready ourselves for the year to come.”
—Tiffany Tasa, Martech Solutions Architect

“My favorite thing is bringing the holiday spirit with all its magic to my two-year-old daughter and seeing the sparks in her eyes.”
—Renáta Sebők, Project Coordinator

What’s something you’re looking forward to in 2023?

“I’m looking forward to so many things: family trips, work events, and a personal goal of obtaining my Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), which is an accreditation for my profession.”
—Jody Waddle, Human Resources Generalist

“As DemandLab continues to grow, I am excited for the new opportunities growth brings. Opportunities to help more clients, to grow as a team, and to further our advancement as professionals.”
—Heather Roche, Director of Marketing

“Growth!”
—Terrence Crawford, Project Coordinator

“I am looking forward to new challenges in my professional life, expanding my knowledge, and gaining valuable experiences day by day. 2023 is the year of learning for me.”
—Szilvia Qeremi-Németi, Administrative Assistant

“More opportunities for more adventures, please.”
—Carin Moonin, Senior Content Writer

“I am looking forward to seeing how much I grow in 2023. At the start of each year, everyone is ready to begin a new them, begin new healthy habitats, and I love looking back and reflecting on how much I’ve grown each year.”
—Briana Parnell, Project Coordinator

“An end to the war in Ukraine.”
—Imre Magyar, Martech Expert
